Game, Set and Match to Illuminate Design!
Illuminate Design have been delighted to work with Colchester Borough Council for the provision of their “big screen” in Colchester Castle Park.
This was the first time that the Council had decided to carry out this event, but it’s proved to be a massive success and hopefully will be the first of many. Nearly 2,500 people bought tickets for the Saturday night screening of Mamma Mia, with 2000 sold for the animation Shaun the Sheep and 750 for the French art house film Amelie. When the films were not being shown pictures we’re being beamed live from Wimbledon of all the tennis matches going on. One of the highlights being over 800 people turning up to watch the men’s final on a slightly damp Sunday!
Ben Payne commented “It’s been a pleasure for Illuminate Design to work on the Big Screen project. From an initial meeting with the council and Councillor Tim Young who’s the been main drive behind the project, we advised them ways that we could deliver the project to be a cost effective and successful event. These were followed through and I’m delighted to have seen that it’s been such a great event.”
